How is this different from other self-watering pots?
The Tranquil Pot was engineered from the ground up by a plant scientist, with a three-layer root system: a sub-base reservoir, a LECA aeration layer, and a cotton capillary wick, that draws water up only as the plant needs it. That combination means roots get consistent moisture and the oxygen they need to actually thrive — not just survive. If your plants have died on you before, it probably wasn't you. It was the pot.
Is the Tranquil Pot suitable for any plant?
Every plant needs the same two things to thrive: water and oxygen at the roots. Most pots force a trade-off — water them enough and you drown the roots, let them dry out and you starve them. The Tranquil Pot's three-layer root system solves that trade-off, delivering both at once. That's why it works beautifully for the vast majority of houseplants — pothos, monstera, philodendron, peace lily, fiddle leaf fig, and more. The exception is plants built for drought, like succulents which are adapted to dry out completely between waterings and prefer a traditional pot.

How often do I fill the reservoir?
There's no set schedule — just check the water window on the side of the pot and top up when it's below the Max line. How often that is will vary depending on where your pot is placed; a plant in direct sun will drink faster than one in a shadier spot. The window takes the guesswork out, so you'll never be under watering or over watering.
Will it work if I travel a lot?
Yes — it's exactly what the Tranquil Pot was built for. Instead of coming home to a dead or drooping plant, you come home to one that's thriving. Just top up the reservoir before you go, using the water window as your guide. How long that lasts will depend on your plant and where it's placed — a sunnier spot will use water faster than a shadier one — so it's worth doing a quick test run before a longer trip.
What soil should I use?
Use a premium, well-draining potting mix — avoid mixes with chunky bark pieces, as they can create gaps that interrupt the wicking system's ability to draw moisture evenly through the soil. A finer, high-quality mix lets the three-layer root system do its job properly, keeping roots consistently moist and well-oxygenated.
